THE Sharjah International Airport has achieved a remarkable success within Air Cargo Forum 2002 which is currently under way in Hong Kong, according to a Press release. The four-day event, organised by TIACA, under way on September 17.
From the opening day of the conference, many airlines, freight forwarders, cargo agents and other participated companies have been attracted to Sharjah airport's lucrative offers. Sharjah airport's stand was a distinguished sign that was used by ACF's 130 exhibitors and 7,000 trade visitors in addressing the location of the airport in Air Cargo Forum-2002.
Ali Salem Al Midfa, Director-Administration & Commercial, Ali Kombargi, Director-Freight Center, were among the members of the delegation. They held meetings with potential companies through which they succeeded in making business deals which will be announced later upon agreeing on all the conditions.

extensive studies regarding the airport's existing services and facilities, promotional and
marketing strategies which the airport is intending to implement and other plans regarding the new services the airport is planning to launch in the near future.
The delegation were impressed with the compliments they received from the numerous exhibitors and trade visitors who admired the stand design which shows the attachment of Sharjah in general and Sharjah International Airport on particular to heritage and culture. The delegation has assured its participation in the Air Cargo Forum next year since this year participation has proved a great success that exceeded expectations in not only meeting potential clients but also existing customers. The Sharjah International Airport delegation has stressed the importance of planning ahead to participate in such conferences and exhibitions. |
