SHARJAH International Airport, which is currently undergoing a two-year Dh227 million expansion and redevelopment programme, has reduced its long-term parking charges from January 24 this year following a detailed review of its services.
The airport's long-term car parking charges have been reduced from Dh120 to Dh80 for first day.
According to the revised tariff system, Dh20 will be charged for every additional day, instead of Dh30 earlier; and Dh30 for each additional day from day 15 onwards.
Sharjah Airport's Commercial Director Ali Salem Al Midfa commented: "The airport is undergoing a major face change and is conducting surveys and studies on all its services and facilities. This revision in parking charges is a result of this, and is a measure adopted to serve its customers with yet another convenience at affordable rates at Sharjah International Airport."

It has been noted that airline officials, agents and passengers, mostly comprising business travellers, find it secure and economical to park at the airport long-term parking.
Increased passenger requests and higher demand also paved way to this revision in charges. There will be a multifold expansion of this facility to accommodate more cars in the near future.
Upon completion, parking facilities, which handle 550 vehicles, will have the capacity of 800 vehicles, according to the expansion plans of the airport.
