IN co-operation with the Directorate of Human Resources, Sharjah Department of
Civil Aviation and Sharjah Airport Authority are conducting a training course
in the high-flying field of aviation.
A group of 30 UAE nationals are being trained in the various
fields of aviation for the period of 90 days, after which, those who have
successfully completed the programme will join the staff and management team of
the Department of Civil Aviation and Sharjah International Airport (SIA).
Since the aviation sector is an extensive industry, courses for
various departments have been created and modified to suit the needs of UAE
Nationals. The programme is fully comprehensive and includes training for the
various divisions of work at the Civil Aviation and Airport departments and the
skills required to face the challenges in the fast developing travel industry.
At the start of the training programme, an orientation is held
to introduce trainees to all the departments of the DCA and Sharjah Airport
Authority. This is done through a tour of the airportís departments to
introduce members of its staff to the trainees in order to familiarise them
with departmental procedures and facilities.
During the course of this three-month programme, the candidates
are monitored regularly.
