If You Are Departing from Sharjah

While taking a flight out of Sharjah, from check-in to take-off, travelers enjoy ease of movement. Check-in and other necessary facilities are all situated on the ground floor in the main dome. The Information counter, Sharjah Airport's Travel Agency, Hala Serves and a Shopping Arcade are all situated at this level, prior to check-in, for the convenience of passengers and accompanying persons.

Check-in Desk

Most efficient and courteous check-in staff ensure a quick and pleasant service to all passengers.

There are 26 check-in counters in the departure dome. The flight numbers are displayed clearly on the signboards above the check-in counters through which you have to check-in for your flight.

Please have your baggage clearly identified along with the airline ticket and passport for inspection at the check-in counter.

Make sure to collect your boarding card (which will specify your departure gate, flight number and time) along with your airline ticket with the correct baggage identification tag/s, and your passport before you leave the check-in desk.

Free Baggage Trolleys

Self-push baggage trolleys are easily available outside the departure level of the terminal that can be used free of charge.

Porters

For extra help, the passengers can make use of airport porters. This service is offered free of charge.

Departure Fee

AED. 30/- is collected per passenger as "Passenger Departure Fee" at the time of purchase of ticket.

Security Check

Baggage is screened before registering at the check in counter.

Passport Control

All departing passengers must go through passport control by presenting the passport for inspection and stamping of the embarkation seal by the Immigration officer on the passport.

Special Assistance

Assistance is available for passengers requiring special help, such as unaccompanied children, elderly or disabled people. They also assist passengers to clear through Immigration and Customs formalities.

Special Assistance is available at the Information/Customer Service Counter which is located immediately on arrival into the departure terminal.

Duty Free Shopping

After passing through Immigration, there is a well-stocked duty-free shopping facility. Duty-free concessions are available for all passengers (Arrival, Departure and Transit/Transfer passengers).

Transit Mini-Bar

Serves refreshments, beverages and snacks prior to proceeding to the Holding Lounges.

Departure Lounge

Having completed the immigration formalities, passengers can proceed to the correct departure gate as indicated on the boarding pass, through the personal security check at the gate and to the departure holding lounge.

Boarding Announcements

Announcement for boarding will be made in the departure lounge for each flight. Please ensure that you collect all your belongings and proceed to the aircraft as announced.
