| Phoenix Aviation Group,
the largest aircraft charter and leasing company in the UAE and based at Sharjah International Airport, has been granted the Air Operators Certificate (AOC) by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
GCAA Director-General Mohammed Ghanem Al Ghaith issued the certificate to the president of Phoenix Aviation, Alexy Yanchuk, on January 12, making Phoenix the first airline with Western type passenger aircraft to be issued with the UAE AOC.

Mr. Yanchuk thanked the GCAA for the support and confidence shown to Phoenix Aviation and said: "Phoenix Group is proud to be part of the rapidly growing Gulf Aviation scene where UAE plays a pivotal role."
Congratulating Phoenix Aviation on this achievement, Dr Ghanem Al Hajri, Director-General of Sharjah International Airport, said: "Our clients are our partners and we are proud to be associated with Phoenix Group in their fast and envious growth."
