| THE
inaugural Transavia flight, bound for Kathmandu, will land at Sharjah Airport
on Saturday at 5.45 am. Transavia,
a Netherlands airline flight will take off from Amsterdam, Holland, with about
26 VIPs on board including chairman of Heniken, senior officials of the airline
and some foreign diplomats. The
flight will have a stopover in Sharjah while operating Amsterdam-Kathmandu sector. It
is a part of Sharjah airport's open sky policy. At present, the |
airport
authority is negotiating with a number of other foreign carriers to launch their
operation from Sharjah and to include the airport among their major destinations.
The VIPs on inaugural flight will be received at Sharjah International
Airport by Director General Sharjah Civil Aviation Authority Mohammed Al Hajri,
Sharjah Airport Director Marketing and Research Jamal A.Akram and other senior
civil aviation and airport officials. |
